The existence of a homoclinic orbit in dynamical systems implies chaotic behaviour with positive entropy. In this work, we determine explicitly the Markov shifts associated to certain Smale horseshoe homoclinic orbits which allow us to compute a lower bound for the topological entropy that such a system can have. It is done associating a heteroclinic orbit which belongs to the same isotopy class and then determining the Markov partition of the dynamical core of an end periodic mapping. 相似文献

The accumulated knowledge regarding molecular architectures is based on established, reliable, and accessible analytical tools that provide robust structural and functional information on assemblies. However, both the dynamicity and low population of noncovalently interacting moieties within studied molecular systems limit the efficiency and accuracy of traditional methods. Herein, the use of a saturation transfer-based NMR approach to study the dynamic binding characteristics of an anion to a series of synthetic receptors derived from bambusuril macrocycles is demonstrated. The exchange rates of BF4− are mediated by the side chains on the receptor (100 s−1<kex<5000 s−1), which play a critical role in receptor-anion binding dynamics. The signal amplification obtained with this approach allows for the identification of different types of intermolecular interactions between the receptor and the anion, something that could not have been detected by techniques hitherto used to study molecular assemblies. A multivariate calibration method was applied to improve the accuracy of the determination of cadmium in the presence of potassium by total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF). Due to TXRF's relatively low resolution, a particular interference caused by potassium at line Kα 3.31 keV as interference can compromise the cadmium determination at line Lα 3.13 keV, respectively. The method is based on the hypothesis that the application of a multivariate calibration method, for example, partial least squares, could reduce variations due to interference and, consequently, improve the selectivity and accuracy in Cd determination. In this work, this strategy was evaluated on the X-ray fluorescence emission signals between 2.50 and 3.90 keV for a set of 26 different synthetic calibration mixtures and eight different mixtures for external calibration. Based on a certified reference material (Clay 2—CRM051) with high potassium levels, a significant improvement of accuracy for cadmium determination was observed, overcoming the problems associated with spectral interferences by potassium. 相似文献

The synthesis of ethyl (2′-hydroxy-4′,5′-methylendioxophenyl)acetate, a fragment of the antihyperglycemic natural coumarin subcoriacin, is reported. We found an expeditious route to the title compound in five steps. Final metal catalyzed acid ethanolysis of the vinylic 1,1-methylthio methylsulfoxide derivative afforded the required aryl acetic ester, but in the absence of metal catalyst, an unexpected Pummerer rearrangement produced the 2,3-dimethylthiofuran derivative as the major product. The reaction of N,C,N-chelated stibinidene ArSb ( 1 ) (Ar=C6H3-2,6-(CH=NtBu)2) with selected N-alkyl/aryl-maleimides RN(C(O)CH)2 (R=Me, tBu, Ph) gave the addition products with bridged bicyclic [2.2.1] structure containing an antimony atom at the bridgehead position, fused with a 6-membered benzene and a 5-membered N-alkyl/aryl-pyrrolidine ring. Copper(I) complexes (CICs) are of great interest due to their applications as redox mediators and molecular switches. CICs present drastic geometrical change in their excited states, which interferes with their luminescence properties. The photophysical process has been extensively studied by several time-resolved methods to gain an understanding of the dynamics and mechanism of the torsion, which has been explained in terms of a Jahn–Teller effect. Here, we propose an alternative explanation for the photoinduced structural change of CICs, based on electron density redistribution. After photoexcitation of a CIC (S0→S1), a metal-to-ligand charge transfer stabilizes the ligand and destabilizes the metal. A subsequent electron transfer, through an intersystem crossing process, followed by an internal conversion (S1→T2→T1), intensifies the energetic differences between the metal and ligand within the complex. The energy profile of each state is the result of the balance between metal and ligand energy changes. The loss of electrons originates an increase in the attractive potential energy within the copper basin, which is not compensated by the associated reduction of the repulsive atomic potential. To counterbalance the atomic destabilization, the valence shell of the copper center is polarized (defined by ∇2ρ(r) and ∇2Vne(r)) during the deactivation path. This polarization increases the magnitude of the intra-atomic nuclear–electron interactions within the copper atom and provokes the flattening of the structure to obtain the geometry with the maximum interaction between the charge depletions of the metal and the charge concentrations of the ligand. 相似文献
